Role Overview
Sodexo Live! Airline Lounges is looking for a Manager of Food Safety to join our United Airlines client lounge locations nationally. The Food Safety Manager is responsible for providing onsite leadership in developing, implementing, and monitoring lounge quality and food safety strategy and related requirements, policies, procedures, and training for our lounges. The position serves as the lead for allergen controls, regulatory requirements, internal audits, quality assurance, within airline lounge standards. This includes creation and maintenance of Food Safety Plans, and compliance with internal as well as external food safety inspections and programs. The Manager is responsible for developing, monitoring and maintaining Quality Assurance systems and programs to assure product integrity and compliance with company regulatory and customer standards. The Manager facilitates the document control program at the facility level including all programs, policies, and SOPs. Also responsible for tracking and communicating Food Safety KPIs, verifying activities associated with Preventive Controls. The manager will also establish a Food Safety Culture program to permeate the lounges nationwide. This position will work closely with the lounge management and staff to ensure all food safety and quality assurance practices are being fully utilized throughout the lounges.
This is a high travel position, with 75% travel on a national scale. The right candidate will reside close to a major airport in the midwest area of the country.
What You'll Do
25% - Provides food safety on-site support in order to ensure Food Safety Program is implemented
20% - Follows up and provides support to accounts that fail the third-party audit
20% - Provides on-boarding of new GM’s and Executive Chefs
20% - Calibrates third-party auditors
15% - Follows up on failed regulatory inspections as well as acts as a liaison with regulatory agencies

What You Bring
- 2-3 years of past restaurant operations experience, having completed a recognized manager training program
- A strong understanding of food safety on a multi unit, coaching and teaching level
- Be proficient in Microsoft Offices, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Display comprehensive knowledge of Sodexo’s services and procedures
- Must be able to lift up to 25lbs and will be on their feet often
- Uphold and enforce Sodexo’s safety standards
- HACCP team experience
- Knowledge of Quality Management System (QMS), Total Quality Management (TQM)

Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Functional Experience: 3 years
