Sodexo Live's! Airport Lounge Segment has an exciting opportunity for an Airport Lounge Manager to support the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse at San Francisco International Airport (SFO). This Airport Lounge Manager will have oversight of a staff of hourly employees from supervisors, bartenders, food attendants and custodial staff. As a lead manager, you will be responsible for the club/lounge operations including scheduling, timecards, ordering, inventory, training, service standards and guest/client interaction. The lounge is dedicated space for passengers who are members of their club program to come and relax, dine and enjoy a spacious oasis prior to boarding their flight. Our club offers alcohol/beverage options and a self-service buffet; complementary for guests.

Are you the hospitality manager we are seeking? Typical schedule will be a day shift with two days off during the week (must be flexible to the business needs).


The successful candidate will:

  • have oversight of daily food operations and deliver a high-quality product;
  • achieve company and client financial targets and goals;
  • develop and maintain client and customer relationships;
  • prior experience with hiring, training and scheduling staff;
  • motivate, coach, mentor and develop frontline (hourly) staff; and/or
  • ensure Sodexo standards are met to include compliance with company food and physical safety programs.

  • possess the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and exhibit a passion for a high-level of customer service;
  • both front and back of house, in addition to food/bar/beverage service, superb guest relations abilities are the key to success of this operation;
  • have strong communication skills, flexibility and adaptability in a fast and frequently changing environment;
  • exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; and/or
  • demonstrate working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems as well as menu graphics programs.

Sodexo offers fair and equitable compensation, partially determined by a candidate's education level or years of relevant experience. While the budgeted range for the position is posted, Sodexo salary offers are based on a candidate's specific criteria, like experience, skills, education and training.


Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
