Are you an experienced Catering Manager that has a passion for creativity and is looking for an exciting and challenging new position?
Sodexo Corporate Services is seeking a skilled Catering Manager to oversee an innovative, high end catering program for Gulfstream Aerospace in Savannah, GA! There are two departments to our catering: first, is the campus aspect where we do catering that spans simple breakfasts and box lunches all the way up to buffets and large events (up to 500 people). Second, is the High End Catering (SDC) and this is catering that is for VIP's and consists of plated meals and smaller events for the VIP's.
The Catering Manager 4 will have oversight of both departments of catering and will build relationships with our clients to grow the business as this will be key aspect of the role. This position should be well versed in sales, team building, organization (detail and scheduling of events), making sure the events are set up and executed perfectly, and communication with the teams and Chefs to ensure flawless execution.
This role also has some responsibility when it comes to ordering and inventory.
The best qualified candidate will have demonstrated knowledge in casual, high volume, fine dining, and banquet management. This candidate must be extremely organized, with strong written and verbal communication skills, strong financial acumen and deep understanding of the technical delivery aspect of catering. The successful candidate will have experience recruiting and training a diverse and talented catering staff and building and mentoring a solid catering team who share the same level commitment and passion to catering: quality presentation, customer service, professionalism. He or she will also possess the ability to multi-task and delegate to coordinate multiple events and utilize a systems-based approach to meet and exceed each event’s unique requirements.
The successful candidate will:
- identify and exceed client needs and expectations;
- have demonstrated knowledge of catering and catering logistics, casual and fine dining, and banquet management;
- ensure that Sodexo and customer goals are aligned and met;
- coordinate all unit catering initiatives to drive sales growth and track results.
- maintain and improve service levels resulting in increased customer satisfaction;
- ensure all HAACP standards are followed;
- demonstrate resourcefulness and quick responsiveness to client and customer requests.

Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 3 years
Basic Functional Experience - 3 years of experience in catering, food production, or food service management or a related field
