Sodexo Senior Living is seeking a Chef Manager for potential new business located in the region of Montclair, New Jersey. The Chef Manager will oversee the daily operations of the kitchen and be a hands-on manager. Will supervise, train and mentor cooks. The typical shift will be 7:00am - 4:00pm, may vary with some weekend coverage.

The successful candidate will:

  • oversee daily operations of the kitchen;
  • have a background in food production with strong cooking skills;
  • handle ordering and inventory;
  • ensure Sodexo Culinary Standards including recipe compliance and food quality;
  • have high expectations for the quality of food and presentation;
  • have the ability and willingness to mentor and train employees; and
  • knowledge of Food Management Systems/Software is preferred.

Sodexo offers fair and equitable compensation, partially determined by a candidate's education level or years of relevant experience. While the budgeted range for the position is posted, Sodexo salary offers are based on a candidate's specific criteria, like experience, skills, education and training.


Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
Basic Management Experience - 1 year
