The Chef Manager position is located at Broadlawns Medical Center located in Des Moines, Iowa. This leader will be responsible for a dynamic group of employees using their chef skills to support patient services, retail (café), and catering.

The successful candidate will:

  • evaluate and develop service levels for the food programs that support overall Patient Services, Cafeteria, Coffee Shop, and Catering;
  • Collaborate with clinical, food service, and interdisciplinary teams to enhance the food service experience;
  • perform a variety of audits and daily rounds to ensure food quality and presentation exceeds the expectations of our customers;
  • perform management functions that include direct supervision of hourly associates including employee development;
  • create and deliver innovative and enriching cafe experiences for patients and customers;
  • have oversight of day-to-day operations;
  • develop and maintain client and customer relationships;

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
Basic Management Experience - 1 year
