Role Overview
Sodexo is hiring our Chef Manager position for Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, Colorado. Our successful candidate will oversee the culinary operations for the campus dining hall. The ideal candidate must be highly flexible and ready to accommodate diverse customer requests. This position will assist the Resident Dining Manager and work closely with campus executive chef to positively influence the student's well-belling and create a healthy learning environment.
What You'll Do
- Be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production forecasting
- Ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented
- Have the passion to lead and to develop / motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations
- Ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance
- Have working knowledge of automated food management systems for inventory, ordering, production and management systems

What You Bring
- Previous success managing high-volume quality food production
- Experience creating innovative menus with demonstrated best practices for increasing the customer/client experience
- Proven Culinary knowledge: purchasing, inventory, production schedules and Food & Beverage Cost controls
- Enjoy interacting with students, faculty and key stakeholders; being the face of Sodexo Campus Dining
