Sodexo is seeking a talented Chef for our K12 schools partnership in Eagle Point, OR. Our ideal candidate would have previous K-12 experience and be familiar with the USDA regulations for NSLP, NSBP and summer feeding options, or have experience in other regulated institutional feeding operations. This is an action filled job where the candidate will be directly involved with the daily operations of their schools, providing leadership and training for the staff as well as ensuring we are exceeding customer and client expectations. The Child Nutrition Program operates the National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs (NSLP and NSBP), under USDA regulations. A successful candidate will understand and successfully run a highly regulated culinary operation while finding creative avenues to offer students fresh and unique dishes, with a focus on locally sourced ingredients. Typical working hours for this position are Mon-Fri, 6:00 am- 2:30 pm.


Key Duties
- Implements & coordinates the culinary function.
- Directs & trains cooks & utility workers.

-Obtain student feedback to inform culinary decisions.

-Exhibition cooking for students to drive engagement.
- Ensures food preparation & production meets operational standards.
- Manages catering & a la carte areas.

- Partnering with clients for program planning.

- Communication with client to ensure and maintain satisfaction.

- Menu planning in accordance with USDA regulations for National School Lunch/Breakfast Programs.

- Customer & Client satisfaction.
- Financial management to include food cost & labor management.
- Manages food & physical safety programs.

- Valid driver's license required.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
