Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian for a Clinical Nutrition Manager position at JFK University Medical Center, in Edison, NJ, located in Central North Jersey.  This 499-bed acute care hospital is one of 18 hospitals within the Hackensack Meridian Health network.

 

In this leadership role, you will collaborate closely with a team of Clinical Nutrition Managers across the network while helping to strengthen and advance Clinicia, Sodexo’s global brand for clinical and patient nutrition. This is a unique opportunity to drive innovation and elevate nutrition services across a large, diverse network.

What You'll Do

  • Manage the clinical nutrition program within JFK University Medical Center
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop a high‑performing team of RDs
  • Provide direct patient care on a variety of units, as needed
  • Drive Performance Improvement and Quality Management projects
  • Provide training and education to the food service staff and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals 
  • Collaborate with the implementation and management of Sodexo’s meal service program and menu management system
  • Be the primary liaison with medical and nursing staff and represent the department on hospital wide committees
  • Ensure DOH/State/Federal and company standards are being upheld

  • Registered Dietitian credentials with acute care experience and demonstrate a great clinical knowledge base

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

 

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.  In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire

 

Minimum Management Experience: 6 years experience of planning, managing and organizing resources within short/medium timeframes within the overall policy framework 
Minimum Functional Experience: 5 years as experienced specialized practitioner  able to work unsupervised and provide professional supervision to specialists.
