Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian - Clinical Nutrition Manager to manage the new Human Milk/Formula Room for the Children’s Hospital at Erlanger. This position provides the opportunity to develop procedures and protocols prior to the Human Milk/Formula Room opening.
The Children’s Hospital at Erlanger is a Comprehensive Regional Pediatric Center (CRPC), the highest state designation for pediatrics. It offers a full complement of pediatric subspecialists and a 63-bed Level IV neonatal intensive care unit, providing the region's highest level of critical care for infants as young as 22 weeks’ gestational age. Erlanger Health System is an academic medical center affiliated with the University of Tennessee College of Medicine Chattanooga and is the region's most comprehensive network of hospitals and physicians.

Reporting to the System Clinical Nutrition Manager the ideal candidate will:
- oversee day to day operations of the Human Milk/Formula room including ordering product/supplies and managing inventory; formula storage, preparation, and delivery; quality/safety assurance, and regulatory compliance;
- direct the activities of technicians and is responsible for hiring, training, scheduling, and staff competency assessments and evaluations;
- Oversee Timeless barcoding system and manual downtime product labeling and procedures;
- function as a liaison between the Human Milk/Formula Room, clinical nutrition, and health care professionals to communicate changes, address concerns, and improve processes;
- have experience on NICU nutrition committees, NICU nutrition QI projects including collecting data/research, and presenting data at different organizational levels and to external organizations;
- stay current with the scientific literature and support the clinical nutrition team, other healthcare providers, students in university programs, foodservice staff, patients, and families in understanding nutrition strategies to support and improve quality of life and clinical outcomes;
- provide clinical coverage in the NICU for staff shortages/PTO or as needed.
Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who have:
- Registered Dietitian credential, with a minimum of three years of progressive clinical nutrition experience in pediatrics, including NICU.
- staff management or leadership experience, strongly preferred.
- specialized certification (i.e. Certified Specialist in Pediatric Nutrition (CSP), Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC), Certified Lactation Consultant (CLC), Internationally Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), Certified Lactation Education CLE), preferred
- License as a dietitian in the state of TN, or ability to obtain.
- excellent communication skills and can work within a multidisciplinary team, as well as independently, and make decisions while working within a self-directed and collaborative work environment.
- a strong focus on driving outstanding patient satisfaction results and driving process improvement activities.

Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Education Requirement:
Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:
Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
Credentials Requirement:
Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
Minimum Management Experience: At least 13 months experience supervising and directing people and other resources to achieve specific end results within limited timeframes.
Minimum Functional Experience: 3 years as experienced practitioner able to work unsupervised and provide professional supervision to developing practitioners
