Sodexo is seeking a Clinical Nutrition Manager to lead the Clinical Nutrition program at Highlands ARH Regional Medical Center, a 184‑bed, nonprofit hospital operated by Appalachian Regional Healthcare. ARH is proud to be recognized as one of Forbes Magazine’s Top 10 Employers in Kentucky.

This is a hands‑on leadership role, blending 70% clinical practice with 30% program management, ideal for a Registered Dietitian who enjoys direct patient care while shaping and advancing clinical nutrition services.

What You'll Do

  • Manage the Clinical Nutrition program for Appalachian Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg, Kentucky
  • Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) to patients across a variety of disease states, including behavioral health, cardiac rehabilitation, medical‑surgical, and oncology populations
  • Serve as the TPN RD, independently writing nutrition support orders as appropriate
  • Collaborate with Sodexo’s Food Services leadership on meal service operations and the menu management system across the health system, as needed
  • Advocate for and expand the role and impact of Clinical Nutrition throughout the facility
  • Foster a culture of learning, promoting career growth, professional development, and clinical excellence
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to advance departmental initiatives
  • Lead and support Performance Improvement and Quality Management projects

What You Bring

  • Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) with a minimum of 2 years of acute care experience and a strong clinical knowledge base
  • Demonstrated supervisory or management experience, with the ability to grow and develop clinical nutrition programs
  • Prior experience with Sodexo and Health Touch preferred
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills
  • Proven experience with regulatory accreditation, regulatory readiness and reviews, and establishing and maintaining standards of care

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

 

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.  In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire

 

Minimum Management Experience: At least 13 months experience supervising and directing people and other resources to achieve specific end results within limited timeframes.

Minimum Functional Experience: 3 years as experienced practitioner able to work unsupervised and provide professional supervision to developing practitioners
