Sodexo Government is seeking a Deli / Bakery Manager for DECA (Defense Commissary Agency) at Moody Air Force Base located in Valdosta, GA. The Sodexo Deli/Bakery Manager will have responsibilities for overseeing and managing the Deli and Bakery departments while ensuring a friendly selling approach to customers by all Sodexo associates.

DECA is a commissary providing groceries to military personnel, retirees and their families in a safe and secure shopping environment. The Defense Commissary Agency (DECA) commissaries contribute to family readiness, enhance the quality of life for America's military and their families, and help recruit and retain the best and brightest men and women to serve their country.

We are looking for candidates who will manage:

  • frontline staff;
  • deli / bakery operations;
  • department HACCP and safety programs for regulatory compliance;
  • frontline training programs;
  • opening and closing the operation; and
  • daily operation standards.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Experience working and managing a team in a retail deli / bakery operation
  • Excellent client relationship skills
  • Successful customer service skills

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years
