Sodexo is seeking a (Part-Time) Outpatient Registered Dietitian to come join their dynamic clinical team at PIH Health Hospital Whittier, a 523-bed facility located in Whittier, CA for the Outpatient Nutrition and Wellness Center.
This position will work a 20 hours week schedule allowing for flexibility.

What You'll Do

  • Provide education to patients as part of an accredited Diabetes Education programs and education on other various nutrition related diseases
  • Provide one-on-one education with the participants of the program
  • Be responsible for billing for services rendered through PIH Health Whittier Hospital     
  • Serve as the Sodexo representative in providing nutritional care, guidance and counseling services to the patients through development, implementation, and monitoring of dietary recommendations 
  • Participates in interdisciplinary patient rounding, meetings

What You Bring

  • Registered Dietitian with 2+ years clinical experience
  • CDCES preferred/eligible (not required)
  • Outpatient nutrition counseling experience including Develop/implement individualized care plans with care teams
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred (not required)
  • Comfortable with public speaking (in-person/virtual)
  • Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
  • Strong communication skills (verbal/written)
  • Excellent time management and organizationSelf-starter, works independently and on a team

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

 

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.  In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire

 

Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision
