Sodexo has an opportunity for a Full Time Dietitian Nutritionist at WellStar MCG a 517-bed adult hospital and 154-bed Children’s Hospital in Augusta, GA.
WellStar MCG is a Level 1 Trauma hospital with 68 adult critical care beds (Trauma, MICU, SICU, Neurology ICU and CVICU). Other services provided include oncology, renal, cardiac and women's health. WellStar MCG is the academic health center for The Medical College of Georgia (MCG) at Augusta University (AU). This is a growing, active medical community. The successful candidate will:
- Primarily will cover CVICU unit and other units as assigned
- Work rotating weekends, providing hospital wide coverage
- Perform quality improvement initiatives such as patient satisfaction rounds and monthly test trays
- Educate health care team members, including residents, physicians, and nurses
- Actively participate in multidisciplinary rounding
- Be involved in performance improvement projects
- Precept dietetic interns
- Provide nutrition support as part of nutrition assessments and re-assessments
Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who have:
- Registered Dietitian credentials and be licensed in GA (required prior to starting in this role)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good time management skills be a self-starter and a team player
- A track record of proactive interaction with the medical team and be an outstanding team player with strong demonstrated leadership skills.
- Familiarity with Cerner medical records is also a plus

Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Education Requirement:
Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:
Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
Credentials Requirement:
Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision
