Sodexo Corporate Service Division seeks a qualified Facilities Director with technical knowledge of Building Operations & Maintenance for Proctor and Gamble in St. Louis, Missouri. The Facilities Director will oversee Sodexo operations at a 40-acre property which includes industrial manufacturing space, warehouses, offices and meeting rooms.
This Director will oversee the day to day operations of hard and soft services, while leading and managing a team of 45-50 employees. This candidate will possess the technical proficiency and understanding of building operation systems, work order systems, preventative and corrective maintenance, janitorial procedures to include floor care, and technical maintenance including HVAC, plumbing and electrical. A strong understanding of accounting and finance management is required. The candidate must have high level interpersonal and communication skills to manage multiple client stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple functions of building operations and maintenance to include mechanical, electrical, HVAC, environmental, grounds, and security.
- Acts as a liaison between the client and regulatory agencies and/or authorities including building code compliance
- Prepare and manage departmental budgets, records and reports.
- Monitor work performance, prepare and/or review performance evaluations for assigned personnel
- Drive work order performance against SLAs and define Key Performance Indicators
- Manage all tradespersons, managers, and supervisors within Facilities Department
- Research and implement new processes and technology, provide formal presentations to client.
- Oversee and manage renovations and/or construction projects
- Establish a safe work environment for employees by performing safety audits and inspections, conducting safety-related training, and maintaining on-going communications with employees and client.

- strong technical knowledge of the following: mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, structural, safety systems, architectural, landscape and energy management;
- previous experience managing projects
- demonstrated business and financial acumen with a strong P&L understanding;
- exceptional customer service, relationship building and communication skills;
- strong Leadership skills with a focus on staff development and team building;
- a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or related fields is preferred.

Position Summary
The Director of Facilities Operations is responsible for directing facilities maintenance operations of building(s) and property at a single unit. The Director of Facilities Operations manages the preventative maintenance and reactive repair of skilled trades, e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical, utilities; and manages the hiring, training and supervision of staff, professionals and management. The Director of Facilities Operations manages a safe and efficient working environment, essential to the performance of the business. The Director may oversee construction work and often manages other core Sodexo services, and/or logistics of business/operations services, e.g., grounds keeping, laundry, food, security, inventory, mail, concierge services.

Basic education requirement- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
