Sodexo Universities Segment is seeking a dynamic District Registered Dietitian to provide nutrition and wellness support across university accounts in the Pennsylvania/Maryland region.

 

The District Registered Dietitian will support 10 university accounts within the district and may provide temporary support to other regions as business needs arise. The home account for this role is Franklin & Marshall College, in Lancaster PA with a requirement to be on campus one day per week at F&M.

 

This is a remote (some virtual work) position with regular travel required between district accounts and includes a mix of on‑campus and remote services or one required on‑site day per week at a designated campus. Candidates may reside anywhere within Pennsylvania or Maryland and should expect 60–75% travel annually must live within a reasonable driving distance to support accounts across Northeast Maryland and Southeast Pennsylvania.

What You'll Do

  • Provide nutrition support for approximately 10 universities through collaborations with our executive team, operations, marketing, and university health centers
  • Provide oversight of our special dining programs including My Zone, Simple Servings, Simply3, Mindful, and Vegan offerings by conducting regular dining services audits and by training managers and members of the culinary team
  • Serve as a campus liaison between students and dining services to accommodate to students’ dietary needs and adapt offerings to reflect emerging trends in nutrition
  • Responsible for menu development and implementation in resident dining services in partnership with regional culinary division
  • Establish and/or implement standards for client satisfaction, and monitor performance against those standards

What You Bring

  • A Registered Dietitian credentialed with CDR and licensed in state (where applicable PA and MD preferred)
  • At least two years of experience working as a dietitian
  • Previous experience working in a higher education/University Campus account, corporate setting, or K-12/school environment
  • District or national management experience, preferred
  • Experience working in food service operations in a managerial capacity, preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

 

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.  In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire

 

Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian
