Sodexo is #NowHiring our SECOND SHIFT Evening Environmental Services Manager at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green. Our successful candidate will work: Sunday thru Thursday Evenings, off Friday and Saturday. This role reports to the the Environmental Services Operations Manager. Our successful candidate will assure all campus evening events proceed perfectly, with a cohesive team of 4 supervisors and 30 employees. Experience with ordering supplies, managing equipment and communicating with people who don't speak English as their first language successfully are critical to success in the role.
Our leader will oversee the pristine appearance on campus, through weekly inspections, will meet with supervisors to review concerns, issues and provide mentoring and assistance. This role coordinates with supervisors to review issues and maintain consistency with procedures, cleaning practices, training, counseling and reviews. The successful candidate will:

- Develop improvement plans for any deficiencies

- Order and maintain proper levels of supply and equipment
- Effectively manage Sodexo’s SMS, CMMS and Operating Systems
- Demonstrate willingness to perform at a high level in a team environment
- Manage proper use of all tools including, chemicals, floor care equipment
- Train employees and provide inspections, evaluate success and challenges
- Build supply and inventory system - track consumables of custodial supplies
- Perform all trash and recycle removal on and at designated off campus sites
- Provide a clean and safe environment for clients customers, visitors, and staff
- Manage a team of 40 employees including timely interviewing and following procedures for hiring
- Ensure customer satisfaction in housekeeping services, waste removal, and campus event management
- Operate custodial equipment including but not limited to wet and dry vacuums, extractors, buffers, sprayers, auto scrubbers and electric carts
- Have ability to work independently to drive program compliance for custodial department and motivate a diverse staff and by managing through shift supervisors

Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
