Sodexo is seeking an Environmental Services / Custodial Operations Manager 1 for Adventist Health Mendocino Coast, a 25-bed critical access hospital in Fort Bragg, CA. This role oversees daily operations to ensure a clean, safe, and compliant environment that supports patient care and satisfaction. What You'll Do
- Lead daily EVS operations to maintain a clean, safe, and compliant hospital environment that supports patient care and regulatory readiness.
- Drive quality and patient satisfaction by setting standards, conducting inspections/rounding, and responding quickly to service requests from clinical partners.
- Coach, schedule, and develop frontline teams, ensuring training in infection prevention, safety, and proper use of equipment and chemicals.
- Optimize workflows and resources—manage inventory, staffing, and task assignments to meet service levels, budgets, and performance metrics.

What You Bring
- Hands-on leadership experience in Environmental Services, Custodial, or Facilities—healthcare preferred—with a track record of running reliable daily operations.
- Working knowledge of infection prevention and safety practices (e.g., isolation protocols, terminal cleaning, chemical handling) and comfort operating in regulated settings.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner with nursing, facilities, and administration and to deliver excellent customer service.
- Results orientation—organized, data-aware, and committed to continuous improvement that lifts cleanliness scores and patient experience.
