A green oasis in the middle of Pittsburgh's vibrant Oakland neighborhood, Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens has provided a world-class garden experience to its visitors since 1893. Explore the beauty and wonders of nature at Phipps, encompassing 15 acres including a 14-room glasshouse and 23 distinct gardens. Experience industry-leading sustainable architecture and green practices, stunning seasonal flower shows, exclusive commissioned exhibits, renowned orchid and bonsai collections and more.

Job Description: Event setup staff play a crucial role in ensuring that events run smoothly by creating inviting and functional spaces that meet the needs of clients and guests. They must be detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to work efficiently under pressure to execute successful events.

• Setting up tables, chairs, podiums, stages, decorations, and other equipment according to event specifications and diagrams.
• Assisting with decorating the event space, including hanging banners, arranging centerpieces, and placing props according to event themes or designs.
• Helping with the setup of catering stations, including arranging tables, linens, serving trays, and food displays.
• Transporting and setting up equipment and supplies needed for the event, such as tables, chairs, linens, signage, and promotional materials.
• Disassembling and clearing event spaces once the event is over, including packing up equipment, removing decorations, and returning furniture to its original location.
