Sodexo Campus Dining is seeking a Resident Dining Executive Chef at very longstanding partnership account Colorado Mesa University, in Grand Junction, CO. Sodexo operates all the dining operations on campus which include Student / Resident Dining, Starbucks, Chick-fil-A, Einstein’s Bagels, C-store, and Catering.

This inspiring role will report directly to the Executive Chef and serve as a strong resource supporting our campus and the opportunity to support other accounts in our district.

Can you bring the WOW factor to our campus dining program serving thousands of healthy meals per day? High volume dining that allows for innovation and creativity! The passion to serve great food while managing food cost within budget is a must. Food safety and sanitation are key priorities. Managing Food Management Systems/Apps is critical for this role!

The successful candidate will:

  • Be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production forecasting
  • Ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented
  • Have the passion to lead and to develop / motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations
  • Ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance
  • Have working knowledge of automated food management systems for inventory, ordering, production and management systems

Are you an innovative experienced culinarian with the following skills?

  • Previous success managing high-volume quality food production
  • Experience creating innovative menus with demonstrated best practices for increasing the customer/client experience
  • Proven Culinary knowledge: purchasing, inventory, production schedules and Food & Beverage Cost controls
  • Enjoy interacting with students, faculty and key stakeholders; being the face of Sodexo Campus Dining

Successful candidates will be able to work well with others, build strong rapport, possess accountability & adaptability skills, adept in the art of influence without authority, able to think critically on their feet. If this sounds like you then do not wait to apply!

While the budgeted range for the position is posted, Sodexo salary offers are based on a candidate's specific criteria, like experience, skills, education and training.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
