Sodexo is seeking a dynamic Executive Chef 1 to join our food services team at Hackensack Meridian Health Pascack Valley Medical Center Westwood, New Jersey. This is an opportunity to excel in a highly visible role. Hackensack Meridian Health Pascack Valley Medical Center is a world-class, 128-bed community hospital that offers all the resources of a large facility with more personalized care for each patient.

The Executive Chef 1 will support a team of frontline culinary associates and be responsible for all back of the house operations in retail, catering and patient services.

The successful candidate will:

  • have oversight of daily food operations and deliver a high-quality product;
  • has culinary production experience and a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance;
  • has the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service;
  • can demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; and
  • can demonstrate working knowledge of Sodexo Food Management Systems (FMS) and Market Connections (MSC), and is proficient in computer skills and report management experience.

While the budgeted range for the position is posted, Sodexo salary offers are based on a candidate's specific criteria, like experience, skills, education and training.


Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
