Executive Chef – Culinary Leader for Café & Catering Program

Sodexo Corporate Services | HCA – Brentwood, TN

 

Sodexo Corporate Services is seeking an experienced and passionate Executive Chef to oversee the culinary operations at HCA in Brentwood, TN. If you’re a hands‑on culinary leader with a drive for creativity, quality, and team development, this is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a growing café and catering program.

 

About the Role

As the Executive Chef, you’ll be the primary culinary leader on-site, responsible for driving excellence across daily café service and catering operations. This role is ideal for a chef who thrives in a collaborative environment, loves menu innovation, and enjoys being closely involved in kitchen production.

 

You’ll oversee a robust foodservice operation that includes:

Café Service

  • Daily production and quality oversight
  • Running a 4‑week rotating menu cycle
  • Enhancing menus with innovation while maintaining brand standards

Catering

  • Catered events and specialty production
  • Ensuring high-quality food presentation and execution
  • Creativity in menu planning for corporate clients

Incentives

M-F 6am to 4pm with some evenings, no weekends

What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Menu planning and recipe development
  • Order placement and maintaining accurate inventory
  • Working hands‑on 80% of the time in production and execution
  • Leading catering production, from daily orders to special functions
  • Managing food and labor costs in partnership with site leadership
  • Ensuring culinary quality, consistency, and safety standards
  • Inspiring and guiding a team of 13 hourly employees

This is a role where your culinary vision, leadership, and operational skills will directly shape the guest experience.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
