Sodexo is seeking our Executive Chef for the K12 Schools in Claremore, OK with an awesome K-12 School schedule. .Demonstrated history of mentoring and training culinary staff , having successful interaction with high-profile clients and student and teaching about nutrition as an Exhibition Chef are critical to success in the role. Our successful candidate will travel to our schools bringing innovation and creativity to our National School Lunch and National School Breakfast Programs (NSLP and NSBP). This role focuses on hands-on training for employees and works a Monday through Friday Day shift. Clear Driving Record and reliable transportation are required mileage is reimbursed..

Responsibilities include daily meal preparation operations that supports schools with breakfast lunch and snacks each day and manages the summer feeding program. The successful candidate will:

  • Create a positive work environment to mentor and develop our frontline hourly team
  • Hands On Cooking 70% Administration and Software management 30%
  • Manage large food orders with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Develop and maintain client and customer relationships
  • Achieve company and client financial targets and goals
  • Manage the oversight of day-to-day operations
  • Ensure Sodexo standards are met
  • Deliver high quality food service
  • Must have a valid driver's license

  • Is proficient in computer skills and report management experience
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of Food Order Management Systems
  • Successful supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively

  • Prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed
  • Have culinary production experience and a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance
  • Manages multiple priorities, demonstrates professional communication and a passion for excellent customer service

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
