Sodexo is seeking a talented culinarian to fill the Executive Chef 2 role at Massachusetts College of Art and Design in Boston, MA. Massachusetts College of Art and Design is part of the Colleges of the Fenway consortium in Boston and is part of the Colleges of the Fenway Dining partnership. COF Dining partners with Wentworth Institute of Technology, Massachusetts College of Art and Design, and Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.

The Executive Chef reports directly to the General Manager with a dotted line to the Campus Executive Chef. The team will work collaboratively to continuously drive the COF Dining Retail program forward to exceed guests needs, grow and develop the culinary team, and meet various financial budget targets.

We are looking for candidates who will:

  • have oversight of day-to-day culinary operations;
  • deliver high quality food service;
  • Ensure high quality, fresh, flavorful food
  • develop and maintain client and customer relationships;
  • develop strategic plans;
  • create a positive environment; and
  • ensure Sodexo Standards are met.

The ideal candidate:

  • has a work history demonstrating strong leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively;
  • has culinary production experience and a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance;
  • has the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service;
  • can demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; and
  • can demonstrate working knowledge of Sodexo Food Management Systems (DRiVE) and Market Connections (TMC), and is proficient in computer skills and report management experience or can quickly adapt to new technology-based systems.

Sodexo offers fair and equitable compensation, partially determined by a candidate's education level or years of relevant experience. While the budgeted range for the position is posted, Sodexo salary offers are based on a candidate's specific criteria, like experience, skills, education and training.


Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
