Sodexo Corporate Services is seeking an Executive Chef for a corporate service client located in Battle Creek, MI.
As an Executive Chef, you will be at utilizing local and organic ingredients when available to create mouthwatering dishes that delight our guests. Picture yourself in our dynamic kitchen, overseeing multiple stations including Sauté, Grill, Garde Mange, and Hearth Oven. You will be the driving force behind our culinary operations, ensuring that our line cooks deliver perfection on each plate. Your expertise and guidance will shape the flavors, presentation, and quality that our patrons crave. This is a High Profile position with direct contact with clients and patrons. The ideal candidate will have fine dining experience.
This Executive Chef will work primarily Monday through Friday 6:00 AM-4:00 PM schedule with weekends or holidays as needed for events.
The Executive Chef will oversee the food production for café operations and retail for our corporate clients. The Executive Chef duties will include but not limited to:
- Menu planning
- Ordering
- Inventory
- Food and Labor cost
- Hands on about 90% of the time
- Lead a team of 14 hourly employees
- Ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance
- Must be comfortable with technology to support mobile ordering system, Digital HAACP etc.

Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
