Sodexo is currently seeking an Executive Chef 3 to join our culinary team at Carroll Lutheran Village, a large, upscale continuing care retirement community located in Westminster, Maryland. Dining operations include 2 cafes, 2 restaurants, 1 pub for independent living residents; a skilled care dining room and an assisted living dining room along with catering.

The Executive Chef 2 will manage two Executive Chefs 1 with a total culinary team of approximately 30 employees. This Executive Chef will oversee the culinary operations for all levels of care and be responsible for recipe development and the training and development of culinary team. Typical shift will be 10:00am - 7:00pm, may vary with every other weekend coverage. We are open to chefs with senior living and/or restaurant/country club leadership backgrounds.   • have a strong culinary background, ideally in country club, restaurant or healthcare setting.
  • have catering experience.

  • demonstrate experience supervising a culinary team and exceptional human resource and supervisory/management skillset.
  • have exceptional professional communication skills.
  • possess a hands-on, innovative leadership approach to management.
  • have a passion for a high-level customer service and relationship oriented.
  • are able to work independently and make sound business decisions within company guidelines.
  • have the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • have strong financial acumen and experience managing a food service operations budget.
  • are knowledgeable in compliance to food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards.

While the budgeted range for the position is posted, Sodexo salary offers are based on a candidate's specific criteria, like experience, skills, education and training.


Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience - 3 years

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
