Amazing opportunity for an Executive Chef

The Good Eating Company is looking for an Executive Chef to lead our culinary team at our kitchen in in Milpitas, California. The Executive Chef manage all the day-to-day culinary production operations and be responsible for successfully executing daily order fulfillment for our clients.

We are looking for a culinary leader who can think outside the box, and can adapt to an ever changing culture and client base, gets excitement out of a challenge, while at the same time can coach and mentor a team to work together for one goal – creating amazing food from the highest quality ingredients to refresh energize and inspire our guests.

Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for the effective and efficient operation of commissary culinary operating
  • Maintain budget in all culinary financial areas – food and labor and operating costs. Maintaining accurate financial records. Oversee the forecasting planning, purchasing and receiving of operating needs and supplies. Ensure accurate inventory is completed
  • Menu planning in a creative manner utilizing culinary skill and experience in developing menus and recipes utilizing fresh local seasonal ingredients
  • Employee training and development
  • Superior interpersonal skills leading the culinary staff
  • Detail orientated with the ability to multitask working independently with minimal direction

The ideal candidate:

  • Has a work history demonstrating strong kitchen leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively
  • Has ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service
  • Can demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed

While the budgeted range for the position is posted, Sodexo salary offers are based on a candidate's specific criteria, like experience, skills, education and training.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience - 5 years

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years
