Sodexo Corporate Services is looking for a Executive Chef to join our team at Kellogg's Headquarters in Battle Creek, MI. The Executive Chef will be the lead Chef for the catering side of the business. Duties will include but not limited to:

  • leads retail culinary operations with heavy client interaction and menu development.
  • menu planning
  • ordering
  • inventory
  • leading a team of about 15 hourly union employees
  • food and labor cost
  • must be comfortable with technology to support mobile ordering system, Digital HAACP etc.

About the Catering

The Catering is an important focus of this role as we cater to the C-suite executives and a team of over 1000 returning to work. Catering can include High-End Lunches, and Board of Directors Meetings, employee events, corporate dinners, etc. The Executive Chef will lead the client meetings, menu setup, and executing these events.

The Ideal Chef for this business will have a passion for food. Flexibility and ability to adapt to last minute changes is key to be successful in this role. We are looking for Chef that can WOW our clients. The Executive Chef must be creative, innovative and ensuring quality and presentation.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
