Location: We are seeking a Expeditor at Roseland Waterpark.

Roseland Waterpark is the largest waterpark in the Finger Lakes Region with 56 acres of aquatic adventure and 9 unique attractions for the entire family. Sparkling water, certified lifeguards, free parking, rental lockers, concessions, and plenty of deck space for relaxing make this the hottest spot to get cool on Canandaigua Lake.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Order Coordination
  • Receive and organize orders coming from waitstaff or the point-of-sale system
  • Coordinate the preparation timing of various dishes so that all items for a table are ready simultaneously
  • Check the accuracy of each dish against customer orders to ensure correct ingredients, portion sizes, and presentation
  • Ensure that all plates meet restaurant standards before they leave the kitchen
  • Maintain open communication between the kitchen staff and front-of-house team
  • Relay special requests, dietary restrictions, or modifications from customers to kitchen staff
  • Inform servers when dishes are ready to be served and facilitate the flow of food to tables
  • Identify and address issues such as incorrect orders, food shortages, or delays
  • Assist with reordering dishes or notifying the front of the house of potential delays
  • Keep the expediting station organized and ensure all serviceware (plates, bowls, etc.) is available
  • Monitor the cleanliness of the station and ensure health and safety standards are followed
  • Monitor the availability of essential garnishes, sauces, and other finishing ingredients
  • Notify management of low stock to prevent delays or shortages

Qualifications/Skills:

Required:

  • Minimum of 6 months experience in food preparation in a fast paced environment.
  • Must be able to interact verbally and listen attentively to co-workers and supervisors.
  • Ability to follow written and oral direction.
  • Ability to work under pressure and independently.

Preferred:

  • Culinary degree from an accredited college or university.

Other Requirements:

  • Able to work effectively and safely while subject to wet floors, temperature extremes and excessive noise; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds in weight; must be able to maneuver in an often tightly-quartered environment.

Hours may be extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays.
