Sodexo is seeking a Facilities / Engineering Manager 2 for Millard Public Schools located in Omaha, NE.

Reporting to the Facilities Operations Manager, the Facilities / Engineering Manager 2 will assume overall responsibility for the safe and efficient functioning, maintenance and operation of all buildings, equipment, machinery, and systems. This is a true management position and will focus on delegating work orders to skilled tradesmen.

This Facilities / Engineering Manager 2 will assume the following overall responsibilities with one other Facilities Manager:

  • Instrumental in the planning and improvement of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.

  • Work independently to prioritize, schedule and coordinate multiple activities while ensuring that all quality, safety and regulatory standards are met.
  • Responsible for operation and maintenance of chillers, air handlers, make up air, condensing units, VAV systems, emergency generator, fire alarm, and kitchen equipment through delegation to the correct team member;
  • Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Responsible for constant state of readiness to comply with EOC, Life Safety and Emergency Preparedness survey inspections, preparation and document requirements.
  • Conduct regular and ongoing building inspection tours to ensure that general maintenance and aesthetic issues are identified, and appropriate resolution is initiated.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A proven track record of successful Facilities experience as demonstrated by articulated results and accomplishments;
  • Proficient technical knowledge of: mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, structural, safety systems - including not limited to fire alarm systems, commercial kitchen equipment, elevators, intercom systems, architectural, landscape and energy management;
  • Other technical proficiency in DDC and Pneumatic, temp control systems operations, water treatment, and BMS is a plus;
  • Exceptional customer service, relationship building and communication skills;
  • Proficiency in work order management systems and Microsoft suites; and
  • A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience - 2 years

Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in facilities maintenance, plant operations or engineering services
