Sodexo Live!'s Airport Lounge Segment has an exciting opening for a Field Marketing Specialist 2.

The Field Marketing Specialist 2 is responsible for developing & executing marketing plans for lounges business in North America. Position will launch and oversee field marketing programs within our accounts, working collaboratively with the hospitality team and other key stakeholders to concept, deliver, execute and measure all B2C marketing activities. Additional responsibilities include contributing to the B2C marketing plan for quarterly business reviews and the strategic account plan as well as supporting this aspect at client presentations when required.

This is a Remote role with up to 70%+ travel with ideal candidate residing in close proximity of an airport.

  • Drives growth through planning, development and execution of growth initiatives, including: Non-Mandatory Sales/Pricing/Retail & Catering/New Sales & Retention/eCommerce & Mutualized Promotions
  • Develops and implements plans intended to increase customer insight/satisfaction through Surveys/Focus Groups/Engagement Promotions and relevant technology
  • Develops and implements internal/external communication through Websites/Social Media/Innovation Sharing/Best Practices
  • Forges collaborative relationships to create transformative customer experiences
  • Establishes program awareness through a physical presence at site
  • Scope of role is focused on the lounges business within North America and the execution of the B2C marketing activity at account level, working with the client to ensure delivery of the marketing plan aligned to the airline / third party client themselves.
  • Participate in developing and implementing all B2C food and beverage marketing strategies; including but not limited to working with the culinary team and food platform on menu / beverage design and promotional activities, collateral and client facing programming, promotional copy, creative development, event development, merchandising, action station development and partnership solicitation
  • Work collaboratively with the client to agree B2C marketing strategies as it relates to our services within the client’s guidelines to continually improve the consumer experience and therefore the NPS.
  • Research, develop and manage vendor partnerships in conjunction with procurement and our airline partners as appropriate.

Job specification:

Market Awareness: The ability to understand the market that Sodexo Live! services serve; anticipating national market trends. Seeking perspectives from key networks, customers, clients, managers and employees at all levels

  • Food & Beverage Service Operations: Knowledge of food and beverage operations
  • Retail Operations: Knowledge of the principles and methods of B2C retail and all aspects of the marketing mix
  • Planning and Management: The ability to plan resource requirements and secure resources to ensure the successful completion of designated projects, effectively managing time and resources to ensure work is completed efficiently
  • Stakeholder management: Effectively manage and collaborate with all stakeholders including sub-segment marketing and operational leadership, site based teams and central support functions such as service operations. Collaborate with others to complete work activities.
  • Achieving Solutions: The ability to effectively resolve problems, including identifying and analysing key information from multiple sources, facilitating root cause analysis and finding solutions to eliminate them

Technical Duties & Responsibilities include: Innovation, Industry Trends - Insights and Promotions, Marketing Expertise as it pertains to new unit openings, Product Delivery, Standards, Consistency, Culinary & Beverage Knowledge, Client Interactions

  • At least 2 years experience in B2C marketing
  • Knowledge of the airline lounges industry a plus but not essential
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Basic Education Requirement - Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years
