Sodexo is seeking a Food Operations Manager at Nebraska Medical Center located in Omaha, NE. The Food Operations Manager will manage and direct food all retail and food locations throughout the hospital. The Food Operations Manager will be a dynamic team player with a strong background in directing retail food operations with financial oversight.

This strategic management position offers a competitive salary and a full benefits package that kicks in immediately. At Nebraska Medicine, this position will also receive perks such as free parking, daily meal stipend, and free gym access. Schedule is primarily Monday-Friday with no evenings.

The successful candidate will:

  • direct and oversee all retail food operations for the hospital (Starbucks, Restaurant, Cafés, Convenient Store, and Micro-Market)
  • manage, develop and engage with subordinate managers, supervisors and frontline employees
  • interact with customers, hospital staff, and visitors to ensure customer satisfaction
  • oversee cash handing processes and POS programming and maintenance
  • maintain all product merchandising, marketing and ordering standards are in place
  • achieve company and client financial targets and goals

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • seasoned experience as a Food Service Manager, GM, or Director (retail food outlets, restaurants, hotels, catering etc.)
  • demonstrated leadership skills and proven ability to foster culture, retain employees, and develop teams
  • strong financial acumen and technical skills
  • a results-driven mindset that enjoys working hands-on to support the team
  • a valid driver’s license and acceptable driver’s license record check is required

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience - 3 years

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
