Sodexo is seeking an energetic and inspiring Food Service Manager to support operations for Hampton County School District 2 in Varnville, South Carolina. Day to day – You’ll stay agile, pivoting as needed to support all 7 school locations. This role is hands-on and service-minded, so reliable transportation is essential. School nutrition experience is a plus but not required — we’re ready to coach and develop the right leader.

What You'll Do

  • Manage daily food service operations
  • Ensure compliance with USDA, state, and local child nutrition regulations
  • Lead, train, and support frontline staff
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, safety, and sanitation
  • Oversee inventory, ordering, and cost-control processes
  • Build strong relationships with school administrators and staff

What You Bring

  • Experience in food service, school nutrition, or a related supervisory role
  • Strong people leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage operations, multitask, and problem-solve effectively
  • Basic financial skills, including inventory management and cost awareness
  • Commitment to service excellence and student well-being
  • Experience with USDA Child Nutrition Programs is a plus—but not required
  • Requires reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license to support travel between schools
