Sodexo Senior Living has an exciting opportunity for a Food Service Manager 2, for Maria Joseph Manor, a continuing care retirement community located Danville, Pennsylvania. This Food Service Manager will oversee daily meal service for the 75 skilled care and 60 personal care residents on campus. Will report to the General Manager and manage a staff of approximately 35-40 hourly employees. Typical shift 11:00am- 7:00pm, may vary with every other weekend coverage. Are you the experienced food service manager we’re seeking?

We are looking for candidates who will:

  • have oversight of daily meal service operations for skilled care and personal care dining areas;
  • fill in for the General Manager in his absence;
  • assist with scheduling and payroll;
  • oversees special events;
  • deliver high quality food service;
  • develop and maintain client and customer relationships;
  • create a positive environment; and
  • ensure Sodexo Standards are met.

The ideal candidate:

  • has excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working with seniors and managing people and the dining operation to make every day a better day for our clients and residents;
  • has two or more years food service management experience;
  • has knowledge of special dietary needs;
  • has the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service;
  • can demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; and
  • is proficient in computer skills and report management experience.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma, GED or equivalent

Basic Management Experience - 1 year
