Sodexo is seeking a Multi-Service, General Manager 1 for New York Presbyterian Queens Hospital, a fast-paced, 535 bed, high volume urban hospital located in Flushing, NY. The Multi-Service GM role is a highly visible, hands-on management role, with an emphasis on patient and employee satisfaction. This role will direct and participate in all of the daily contract operations for their Food and Valet Shuttle services.

Responsibilities will include:

  • working with unit financial reporting/budgets
  • strategic planning and marketing
  • training and development
  • providing strategic support to the management and hourly team
  • developing and maintaining positive client relationships
  • HR functions
  • scheduling
  • cash management and control
  • direct supervision of approximately 8 Sodexo Managers

The successful candidate will possess:

  • at least 4 years food management experience
  • a strong financial acumen
  • a proven success in driving patient, retail customer and client satisfaction
  • a solid working knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • computer literacy
  • excellent leadership, communication and customer service skills
  • prior management experience in healthcare would be a plus for this role.
