Sodexo is seeking a General Manager 3 of Food for Greater Albany Public Schools. Greater Albany School District is a 40 year plus Sodexo client located in the heart of the Willamette Valley between Salem and Eugene. Unit provides breakfasts, lunches, snacks and suppers to a student population of 9,000+.

This position is supported by and on-site Sodexo Food Service Supervisor as well as a School District Free and Reduced Coordinator. All hourly site employees are those of the School District.

Day to day, this role will be responsible for insuring a high level of standards, compliance with the National School Breakfast and Lunch Programs district wide and directly overseeing cafeteria operations.

Our ideal candidate will be:

  • A self-starter with stellar communication skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Experienced in managing food service in an education environment.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Detail oriented and organized.

Desired Experience:

  • Large volume schools experience.
  • Well versed with NSLP.
  • Experience overseeing remote locations.
  • Ability to travel between schools on a daily basis, as needed.
  • Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a diverse group of people.
  • Associate's Degree and valid driver's license required.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate’s degree with academic major in food and nutrition, food service management, dietetics, family and consumer sciences, nutrition education, culinary arts, business, or a related field

Basic Management Experience - 3 years

Basic Functional Experience - 4 years of relevant school nutrition programs experience
