Job Description
Sodexo is seeking a General Manager 3 for the Unites States Marine Corps, Mess Hall 27269, located in Quantico, VA. This is a high profile operation that is a component of a very high volume, high prestige, US Military contract. Position will be part of a management team of 2 to include a GM and a Production Manager with 3 additional front of house managers. Operation is located in the Quantico Virginia area and provides 7 day per week service, 3 meals per day, 365 days per year for a total of approximately 225,000 meals served annually. Operation(s) is cafeteria style service providing main entrees, vegetables, salad option, and grill items to Marines.
This position is located on the Marine Corps base in Quantico, Virginia. This position will be providing leadership and supervision for approximately 5 managers, 15 full time staff, and 20 subcontract employees
The successful candidate will:
- Have 3-5 years operational management experience in a high-volume food service dining environment.
- Be a people person with a strong focus with maintaining positive client relations; a solid manager/leader who is perceptive and has attention to details that make a difference – quality and presentation of food – customer service –
- Be SERVICE focused– including providing excellent customer service in a welcoming dining environment.
- Be proficient in use of online Food Management Systems for menu/recipe planning, ordering and inventory;
- Demonstrate proven financial acumen/success: Food costs/ labor costs, budgets.

Position Summary
Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account
Provides local leadership and strategic direction while developing team for new and emerging business solutions that sustain growth in the day to day operations.
