Sodexo is seeking a General Manager 4 - Food for Our Lake of the Lake Ascension Hospital in Gonzales, LA. Our Lady of the Lake Ascension is an 80-bed hospital with a census of 40. The General Manager will oversee and direct all Food & Nutrition for this hospital and will supervise a team of 13. The General Manager will come with a background in food service management with a proven ability to lead teams and foster culture.

This General Manager position is a great opportunity to manage the food service department within a proactive hospital environment. Successful candidates will require a strong fiscal, cafeteria/front of the house management, financial acumen, tramline experience, and culinary management skill set.

***$3,000 Sign-On Bonus***

This position is primarily Monday-Friday with rotating weekends. The salary range is competitive and based on experience with a bonus incentive plan and a rich benefits package that kicks in day 1!

The successful candidate will:

  • direct and oversee all food and nutrition service day-to-day operations.
  • manage, develop, mentor and engage with subordinate managers, supervisors and frontline employees.
  • achieve company and client financial targets and goals.
  • develop and maintain client and customer relationships.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • seasoned experience as a general manager, food service manager and/or director in a high-volume facility
  • demonstrated leadership skills and proven ability to foster culture, retain employees, and develop teams.
  • strong financial acumen and technical skills
  • knowledge and background in safety and sanitation compliance
  • proven ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrated professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service.
  • be enthusiastic, eager to learn, and self-motivated.
  • a results-driven mindset that enjoys working hands-on to support the team.
  • experience as a GM or Director in healthcare and/or contract services, highly preferred
