We are looking for a General Manager 4 who has a business consultant's mind with a culinary background to lead K12 school nutrition in Rohnert Park, California! Candidate must have a strong financial acumen and be an excellent oral and written communicator. Knowledge in USDA regulations is a plus. Candidate will act as a consultant to the chief business officer and superintendent and be able to provide expert advice professionally. In addition, candidate will have direct interaction with union frontline staff and administration. Candidate must be able to analyze data, find trends, and offer solutions based on findings. Having strength in research and project management will be needed. Must be results driven and have strong proven leadership skills. In addition, candidate must have intermediate knowledge in Word, Excel and Power Point. A valid driver's license is required.

We are looking for candidates who will:

  • guide daily food production including production planning and control
  • advise on the development of menus and inventory management
  • provide recommendations regarding food costing, controls and compliance
  • have high expectations for customer service and quality of food
  • have the ability and willingness to develop frontline employees
  • have a passion for food and innovation

Accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation per year (first year pro-rated based on date of hire). Medical Benefits beginning date of hire, and 401K with company match eligible.

Position Summary

Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.


Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement – Associate’s degree, with academic major in food and nutrition, food service management, dietetics, family and consumer sciences, nutrition education, culinary arts, business, or a related field

Basic Management Experience - 3 years

Basic Functional Experience - 4 years of relevant school nutrition programs experience
