Sodexo is seeking a General Manager 4 to support our dining services at Covenant Living in Plantation, FL. Covenant Living of Florida’s stunning location—close to golf courses and the beaches of Fort Lauderdale—comes with many perks. The General Manager will have an active role in managing finances, cost controls, customer service, and will provide strategic leadership to staff. This position is responsible for ensuring that all planning and organizing activities fully support the Sodexo Brand at all dining experiences in a respectful and appreciative manner. Prior food service experience in a luxury resort and/or healthcare environment, retail and upscale dining is desired.

Skillsets:

  • Working knowledge of HACCP protocols for regulatory compliance
  • Food production, catering, and retail management experience
  • Hands on skills with inventory management, on-line ordering
  • Ability to train & develop employees
  • Directs all contract services.
  • Oversees management/administrative team who are responsible for special functions, cash control and payroll.

  • Financial Experience creating and developing menus with pricing

Position Summary

Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.
Provides local leadership and strategic direction while developing team for new and emerging business solutions that sustain growth in the day to day operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience - 5 years

Basic Functional Experience - 5 years
