Role Overview

As a General Manager at Sodexo, you’ll lead and manage all aspects of food service operations, for a Sodexo Magic Account including a full-service café, catering, coffee service, and micro-market. Your expertise in budgeting, strategic planning, team development, and client relations will drive success. You’ll oversee up to 30 associates and a team of culinary managers, ensuring excellence in service and operations. SodexoMagic is the joint venture partnership between NBA Hall of Famer, Earvin “Magic” Johnson, and Sodexo. As a certified minority company, we deliver food, facilities management and integrated services to corporations, healthcare facilities, K-12 schools, colleges and universities and aviation lounges. What You'll Do
  • Provides leadership and training to ensure team development and operational success.
  • Manages unit financials, including budgeting and cost control, to meet financial goals.
  • Directs daily food service operations, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with standards.
  • Supervises daily activities, delegating tasks and prioritizing to maintain efficiency.
  • Monitors operating standards, identifying opportunities for improvement and maintaining consistency.
  • Fosters a safe, inclusive work environment and supports workplace inclusion initiatives

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in food service management.
  • Proven experience leading both front-of-house and back-of-house management teams.
  • Strong financial acumen with expertise in creating and managing budgets.
  • Skilled in training, developing, and directing diverse, high-performing teams.
  • Innovative with a focus on revenue growth and cost management.
  • Excellent client relations, organizational development skills, and executive presence.
  • Prior experience managing a P&L in a corporate dining setting is a plus.
