Sodexo is seeking a General Manager for our Net Jet’s Corporate HQ Cafe in Columbus, OH. The General Manager of food will lead a culinary and service team of 12, including an Executive Chef and Retail Operations manager. This team is responsible for the main café and a small satellite location, which offers coffee service and NetJets Inflight foodservice. The primary schedule will be Monday through Friday, but some flexibility is needed to accommodate occasional weekend coverage for Inflight services and catering events.


The successful candidate will:

  • have oversight of daily food operations, inclusive of Café dining and
  • achieve company and client financial targets and goals to include oversight of cash handling, catering management software, accounts payable, billing, and the POS system;
  • develop and maintain high level client and customer relationships;
  • motivate, coach, mentor, and develop frontline (hourly)and management staff; and
  • ensure that Sodexo standards are met, including compliance with company food and physical safety programs.

  • experience with start ups and food service renovations;
  • prior experience working for a contract management company
  • exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities and client requests as needed and/or
  • demonstrate a working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production, and management.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience - 5 years
