Sodexo Senior Living is excited to announce a new opportunity at White Horse Village, a premier continuing care retirement community in the beautiful Main Line area. We are seeking an experienced General Manager 5 - Food to lead our food service team at White Horse Village located in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania. This role involves overseeing daily dining operations, managing a team of 5 managers, and reporting directly to the District Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily dining operations across 3 restaurants, a bistro, a pub for independent living residents and 2 satellite kitchens serving skilled/AL residents.
  • Deliver high-quality food service and ensure resident satisfaction.
  • Implement Sodexo systems and programs, and oversee staff training.
  • Continuously evaluate service to maintain high standards.
  • Drive employee engagement and resident satisfaction through strong leadership.
  • Integrate fully within our client’s organization and act as a trusted advisor.
  • Achieve company and client financial targets and goals.
  • Develop and maintain strong client and customer relationships.
  • Develop strategic plans and create a positive environment.
  • Ensure compliance with Sodexo standards.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of food service management experience, director level experience, preferably in high-end or country club dining environments.
  • Proven track record of delivering exceptional dining experiences in upscale settings.
  • Culinary knowledge with a focus on high-quality, gourmet cuisine.
  • Strong financial acumen and knowledge of special diets (CDM/CFPP certification is a plus).
  • Background in safety and sanitation compliance.
  • Demonstrated leadership and hospitality skills with the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and exhibit professional communication skills.
  • Passion for high-level customer service.
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
  • Proficiency in Sodexo Food Management Systems (FMS) and Market Connections (MSC), and strong computer skills.
