Role Overview

Sodexo has an exciting opportunity for a Grounds Manager supporting Houghton University in Houghton, NY.  Successful candidate will provide leadership and oversight to 150 maintained acre campus, ensuring safe, reiliable and efficent facilities operations.  This role is responsible for grounds managment, financial performance, capital planning, and team leadership while maintaining a strong client partnership and service excellance.  A valid driver's license is required for this position.  

What You'll Do

  • Build and foster an inclusive team culture while modeling a positive attitude
  • Implement and develop team training in the areas of horticulture, irrigation, proper pruning, and turf management
  • Work hands-on side by side with the team for typical grounds management including lifting, standing, sitting and working with grounds management equipment for the duration of the typical work shift
