Sodexo is seeking a passionate leader for a Healthcare Catering Manager with a strong background in catering at Penn State Health’s flagship 628-bed academic medical center, the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.

What You'll Do

The Food Services Manager – Catering will provide leadership and oversight for daily catering operations and play a key role in delivering exceptional service experiences for a diverse client base.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Oversee and coordinate daily catering operations within the food service department
  • Serve as the primary face of the catering program to executive-level and high-profile clientele
  • Ensure seamless communication between culinary production teams and front-of-house service staff
  • Manage event execution to ensure timely setup and service that exceeds client expectations
  • Support staffing, scheduling, and operational planning for high-volume catering functions
  • Maintain compliance with food safety standards, regulatory requirements, and Sodexo policies
  • Assist with additional food service responsibilities and operational support during slower catering periods
  • Contribute to a culture of service excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement

  • Strong client-facing skills and ability to build relationships with executive stakeholders

  • Proven ability to manage and motivate frontline teams

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and service-recovery skills

  • Knowledge of food safety standards and operational compliance

  • Healthcare or campus dining experience preferred
