Sodex is hiring a Human Resources Manager 2 to provide support to employees in Food Service at 3 different locations within the UMass Memorial Health System located in Central Massachusetts. In this role you will handle Human Resources functions and work with operations to positively impact business. The HR Manager will be involved with both exempt and hourly employees and will need the ability to travel as needed to various sites.

The successful candidate will:

  • work daily in software systems such as Microsoft Office, Kronos, and applicant tracking systems
  • educate managers and employees on policies and procedures. Assist in developing and implementing new policies and procedures
  • investigate and resolve employee issues and recommend resolutions, based on policy, as appropriate
  • complete special projects based on business needs regarding human resources data and analysis
  • coordinate and conduct required monthly training as well as onboarding new hires
  • maintain active and terminated employee files
  • If applicable, management of union employees; understanding of all contract rules/policies and management of arbitration

  • have knowledge of and experiencing adhering to all Federal, State and Local laws regarding human resources
  • have experience creating and facilitating training, including use of webinars
  • are detailed-oriented and have experience managing multiple priorities
  • are skilled with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Teams)
  • have experience in a healthcare setting and/or experience supporting a multi-location organization

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience – 1 year of HR experience
