Job Description
Sodexo is hiring an on-site Human Resources Manager for our child nutrition partnership with Fort Worth Independent School District in Fort Worth, TX. This individual will utilize their HR knowledge to handle complex issues and administration for the blended workforce comprised of both district and Sodexo employees. Responsibilities will be to support the employee life cycle, including training, employee relations, recruiting support, and educating managers on policies procedures, with direct oversight of two HR assistants. Valid Driver’s License Required. Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years in HR Management required, per client. Bilingual (Spanish) needed.
The best qualified candidates will have the following:
- Prior experience in the recruiting of hourly employees
- Human Resources Management experience providing generalist responsibilities for a diverse team
- Experience with a variety of proven recruitment strategies designed to build strong candidate pipelines
- Experience with onboarding, training and HR leadership for hourly/front-line employees
- Knowledge of labor laws
- Knowledge of personnel file maintenance
- Experience with employee recognition programs
- Excellent computer and communication skills
- Onboarding newcomers to the company
- Providing the necessary support for payroll requirements
- Supporting employee opportunities for professional development
- Assisting with the performance management and review process
Handles human resource functions, up to complex issues and administration for multi-unit account. May include payroll, benefits, training, employee relations, recruiting, safety, etc. Position focuses on hourly workforce and may or may not include union accounts.
Key Duties
- Respond to inquiries regarding HR plans, programs & policies. Educate managers and employees on policies and procedures. Assist in developing and implementing new policies and procedures. Knowledge of and oversees all Federal, State and Local laws regarding human resources.
- Investigate and resolve employee issues and recommend resolutions, based on policy, as appropriate. Involve those necessary based on incidents; HR People Center, legal, etc. If applicable, management of union employees; understanding of all contract rules/policies and management of arbitration. Involvement of contract negotiations.
- Provide direction to managers and employees on implementation of HR plans, programs, policies, and training. Act as the primary consultant on various HR initiatives.
- Serve as the HR consultant and work with operations to positively impact business.
- Perform due diligence for new business initiatives to determine the appropriate HR plans, programs, process, and tools (including compensation, benefits, leadership, staffing, diversity & inclusion) based on financial and legal exposure

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience – 2 years in HR
