Location: We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Administrator for T-Mobile Park, home of the Seattle Mariners.
Since the Inaugural Game on July 15, 1999, T-Mobile Park has gained a reputation locally, regionally and nationally as a terrific setting for baseball and a great place for baseball fans. Sweeping views of Seattle's downtown skyline, breathtaking sunsets over Puget Sound, combined with excellent views of game action from all angles give fans at T-Mobile Park an experience unequalled in Major League Baseball.
Principal Function:
The IT Systems Administrator will oversee point of sales systems and local area network operations for all food and merchandise concession outlets for their assigned unit, which it typically a larger convention center or stadium. Under the leadership of the Corporate IT Department, and in collaboration with stadium facilities management, the IT Systems Administrator will execute fan experiences that exceed guest expectations and maximize revenue by effectively performing services to maintain network operations, POS systems and infrastructure.
During the sporting season and when events take place, the IT Systems Administrator will plan and prepare in advance according to anticipated needs and will provide hands-on management and oversight during events to ensure network and other systems operations run smoothly. Their highest priorities will be to ensure proper, on-going functioning of critical systems and to ensure that standards for network security, quality, service, timeliness, safety and organizational and regulatory compliance are met.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Maximize Sodexo Live!'s revenue and operational excellence through execution of systems and policies related to administrative operations.
- Contribute to goal of making Sodexo Live! #1 in Event Hospitality and the #1 Employer of Choice through personal commitment and leading by example.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science and/or appropriate combination of education and experience to support on-the-job effectiveness.
- A minimum of 3 years of previous IT leadership experience within a diverse operational environment, to include focus on exceptional client and customer service.
- Exceptional working knowledge of IP networking, basic routing, TCP ports and network services with ability to troubleshoot basic connectivity issues including issues with cabling and wireless access.
- Knowledge of Micros Simphony POS systems and Attendance Enterprise time and attendance systems is a huge plus.
- Venue catering/concessions and sports/entertainment experience and multi-site experience strongly preferred, as this position will have responsibility over multiple stands and locations.
- Display a proper business friendly demeanor with technical personnel and non-technical users, especially during high stress situations.
- Demonstrated success in interfacing with a variety of organizational functions and divisions to accomplish tasks.
- Proven ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and management; Ability to promote and participate in team environment concepts.
- Self starter who can work independently and on several tasks/projects simultaneously, and who can contribute to functional areas of the business outside of retail operations.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Initiative in identifying and resolving problems timely and effectively.
Other Requirements:
- Able to work effectively and safely while subject to wet floors, temperature extremes and excessive noise; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds in weight; must be able to maneuver in an often tightly-quartered environment.
Hours may be extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays.
