Sodexo Magic is seeking a qualified Mail Services Manager to join our team supporting a pharmaceutical client in Waukegan, IL. We are seeking a hands on leader with experience managing mailroom and courier operations who will help develop and manage a team of frontline employees while collaborating with the leaders in each department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct daily mail service operations at our client site and ensure employees have appropriate equipment and resources to perform their jobs and meet goals and deadlines.
  • Supervise day-to-day work activities by delegating authority, assigning and prioritizing activities and monitoring operating standards.
  • Establish operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to employees.
  • Supervise all mailroom activities including shipping, receiving, sorting, and distribution of incoming mail and collecting and processing outgoing mail.
  • Establish a safe work environment for employees by providing safety-related training and equipment maintenance and by ensuring compliance with Sodexo safety programs
  • Adhere to standards and procedures for the handling and storage of hazardous materials
  • Evaluate and resolve high priority and complex problems through communication with clients, vendors, and internal professionals in support of a proactive, responsive and friendly customer environment
  • Manage budget, resource allocation, and forecasting tools to ensure best possible use of resources and report budgetary expenses effectively
  • Manage status reports, productivity reports, and other source documents to ensure optimal performance is met by staff
  • Function as a liaison between the client & Sodexo Magic

Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who have:

  • Basic Education Requirement - Associates Degree or equivalent experience
  • Basic Management Experience - 2 years
  • Previous experience managing Mail Service Operations
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and exhibit a passion for a high-level of customer service;
  • Strong Leadership skills with a focus on staff development and team building

Please Note: The salary range for this position is $70-$75k annually
