Sodexo is seeking a Executive Dining Room Manager 2 for The Harborside located in Port Washington, New York - on the North Shore of Long Island. The Harborside is a welcoming and active retirement community. With resort-quality amenities, and over 200 engaging programs and cultural activities each month, our residents are able to choose what matters most to them and continue to live a full and purposeful life. Our campus includes Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Support, Skilled Nursing, Rehab, and Hospice Care services.

The Executive Dining Room Manager will oversee mainly front of the house dining operations and supervise approximately 15 hourly and 1 supervisory employees. Typical shift will vary with every other weekend coverage.

The successful candidate will:

  • have oversight of day-to-day dining operations;
  • Interface closely and daily with residents;
  • ensure that the highest possible standards of food handling and preparation are achieved.

While the budgeted range for the position is posted, Sodexo salary offers are based on a candidate's specific criteria, like experience, skills, education and training.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma, GED or equivalent

Basic Management Experience - 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
