Job Description
Sodexo is seeking a Security Manager for Procter & Gamble's Distribution Facility in Shippensburg, PA. The Security Manager provides direction and oversight in all areas of physical security operations and compliance for all aspects of this facility, while managing a team of frontline employees and supervisors. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader focused on improving and enhancing operating processes and procedures while building client relationships. The Security Manager position offers a primarily Monday through Friday work schedule and a rich benefits package that kicks in day 1!
The Security Manager will be able to demonstrate efficient usage of common office programs, stay up to date on all required company training, and provide a high level of customer support. The Security Manager is responsible to maintain staffing levels are met and training is kept up to date with all officers.
The Security Manager must have flexibility in work hours to meet the needs of the client. This site is a 365/24/7 operation. The Security Manager is responsible to respond to the site in the event of any security needs, day or night. Security Manager must have the ability to operate the on-site vehicle/ car and maintain the operational readiness of the vehicle at all times.
Key Responsibilities:

Our ideal candidate will have:
- proven experience as a corporate security manager
- proven ability to lead teams, foster culture, and mentor frontline staff and supervisors
- high-level knowledge of corporate security protocols and procedures
- technical skills with experience preparing reports and creating documentation
- proficient in MS Office Suite including Excel
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- organizational skills and detail-oriented mindset
- experience working as a third-party security provider or contractor is preferred

Position Summary
The Security Manager provides direction and oversight in all areas of physical security operations and compliance at all locations an assigned portfolio. Provides support to both the assigned client’s business and Sodexo’s operations, and may be called upon to support Sodexo as a content expert beyond the assigned portfolio.
Guard Force management / Contract Administration via Preferred Vendors
Design RFP and evaluate responses. Negotiate contract terms. Oversee service implementation. On-going assessment of contractor and individual officers’ performance. On-going tracking, review, and approval of all invoicing. Arrangement of additional / temporary services. Corrective actions and development of new service requirements, as needed. Projection of future costs and identification of opportunities for savings.
Security Technology Management
(Automated access, CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and emergency communications)
On-going management of existing security systems. Coordination of all necessary repairs, maintenance, and upgrades. Evaluation and direction of our security systems vendors. On-going tracking, review, and approval of all invoicing. Design of new installations at existing locations.
Program Documentation
Create, maintain, review, and update security-related documentation for all portfolio locations. This may include Guard Force Post Orders, and Procedures, Physical Security Risk Evaluations, Self-Audits and Threat Assessments, Identification of Sensitive Assets, Emergency Plans, and Business Continuity Plans, as well as the generation of Crime Statistics.
Incident Reporting
Coordinate incident reports for assigned portfolio. Create reports. Review all reports by others and provide direction or corrective actions where needed. Provide follow-up and investigative assistance where necessary. Responds to major incident events.
Access & Visitor Management
Review, evaluate, and provide direction with respect to physical access to managed sites. Includes granting and revoking of automated access, audit of local databases, and audit of badging and access control systems. Notifications of employee and contractor departures and RIFs. Generation of access histories for specific investigations or space utilization.
Assistance with Portfolio Changes
Project specific activities, for new sites, expansions, relocations, downsizings, and site closures. Evaluation of Security needs. Arrangement of new services or alteration / termination of existing services. Design of new security systems or alteration / removal / relocation of existing security systems.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 3 years
Basic Functional Experience - 3 years
